2006 - The Year So Far

This year has got off to a great start, taking Silver at the ISDF Worlds in Perth; I am looking forward to the sailing season starting and continuing to build on that result. I thought with the Worlds done and dusted in January the calendar would be looking rather empty come the summer, but I am amazed how quickly it’s filling up, so check out my diary to find out where I am in the world!

I would like to say a big thank you to all my sponsors for their support over the last two years and I am excited to welcome two new sponsors on board, Volvo Cars U.K as my Title Sponsor and Charles Russell. Their support is a huge boost for my Beijing campaign.

It was two years in January that I started sailing 2.4mRs and it has been a steep learning curve. Dinghy sailing being my background (420’s and 470’s) and little experience in yachts, it’s certainly been interesting and challenging, but I believe I have finally got it cracked and understand how the boat works and needs to be sailed. So it’s now time to step it up a gear!
